FDM 3D PRINTING
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)Printing, is a manufacturing process which uses a corded material on a spool (such as; PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, etc.) ran through a controlled heating element and out of a nozzle to build a three dimensional model layer by layer.
We offer FDM printing with the option of single or multiple material prints.
Single Material FDM Prints
For single material prints, we offer single model print volume up to 400x400x450mm (15.75”x15.75”x17.5”) with layer heights ranging from .05-.75mm. Single material FDM printing is the most economical plastic extruded manufacturing process we offer. It is a great method to bring ideas to life.
We need to figure out a mm cubed price for baseline services.
Multiple Material FDM Prints
We provide up to 5 differ colors per layer for multi-material prints. Maximum size for multi-color prints is 250x210x210mm (9.84”x8.3”x8.3”) with a standard available layer height of 0.05-0.35mm
One benefit to Multiple Material Prints is the ability to use the material (PVA) which is water soluble. The benefit is to use PVA to support intricate internal areas that require support but not accessible when the print is finished. The support structures are dissolved with warm water, leaving nothing but the desired model geometry. This method allows for much more accurate internal geometry than would otherwise be possible.
